The Best Democracy Money Can Buy

President Trump has appointed Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach as co-chair of an Election Integrity Commission. Kobach has promoted a Republican dark operation called Crosscheck, a secret purge list that helped steal the 2016 election. He claims his computer program has identified 7.2 million people in 29 states who may have voted twice – a felony crime. The catch is that most of these “suspects” are minorities – in other words, mainly Democratic voters.

Now Kobach, which the ACLU regards as the king of voter suppression, is in a position to lead the charge to purge Democratic voters nationwide. However, so far most states are refusing to cooperate with this patently fraudulent Election Integrity Commission. To understand why, one must see Greg Palast’s film noir style documentary “The Best Democracy Money Can Buy.” Playing the role of an investigative detective, Palast hunts down Kobach with the evidence of his “lynching by laptop.” Then he sets off to find the billionaires behind this voting scam that makes any Russian meddling pale in comparison.

This “must see” film is at once amusingly entertaining and hair raising as it exposes what could well become the biggest voter suppression scheme in U.S. history. It’s as fresh as tomorrow’s headlines.
