Community Conversations

Ser Mujer invites the women of San Miguel to get together throughout the day on Sunday, March 10.

Join a group of 6 – 8 women or create your own group for a 60 – 90 minute discussion with the goal of deepening friendships and mutual understanding.

Women will meet in private homes or in public places on this day to share their reflections and insights.

This is the format one of the community hosts is using with her group but there is not right or wrong way to approach this.

Introductions of ourselves and our mothers in absentia (as if preparing us to meet someone they hope we will like). Host will introduce the topic and Ser Mujer. 5-minute, eyes closed meditation focused on gratitude for the role our moms played in how we became the women we are.

Writing time for those who want to journal or take notes afterward. Either pair up or go around the circle and answer two questions: (1) How did your mother contribute to the person you've become? and (2) What would you want to say to your mom if you had a moment alone with her right now?

To join an existing neighborhood group or to request Talking Points, contact Trish Snyder at 415- 121-0612.
