The Green New Deal

In the US progressive leaders have called for a Green New Deal on the scale of the mobilization for World War II. They have outlined an integrated plan to address the climate emergency that calls for a conversion of our energy system away from fossil fuels to renewables like solar and wind that can give good union jobs in clean energy. It calls for regenerative agriculture to draw carbon out of the atmosphere and enrich the soil to grow healthier food. It calls for overhauling our transportation system and retrofitting buildings nationwide for energy efficiency. All this and more will be discussed by Susan Goldman and Peter Weisberg.
