Tempestad

Tempestad, (Storm) is an award winning documentary by Salvadoran-Mexican director Tatiana Huezo. This beautifully crafted and creative film focuses on the emotional journey of two women victimized by the corruption of the Mexican justice system, and how they used love, dignity and resistance to survive. The film is a meditation on the notion of “impunidad,” the impunity or unaccountability of those in power, whether part of the Mexican government or the country’s drug cartels.
