Yo Te Veo SMA: A Collaborative Project for Mending Our World

Monday, August 19, 2024 - 1:00pm
CST
Lena Bartula

Artist Lena Bartula discusses I am GQ her current collaborative art project in support of Palestine and how one can join it. The project--Yo Te Veo SMA (I See You)-- involves stitching squares for Palestine, with an eye wide open embroidered on each one. With hope for a permanent ceasefire and an end to the genocide, participant groups stitch together in solidarity in her studio in Colonia Guadalupe and other locations around San Miguel de Allende and beyond. The project is a call to witness those who may otherwise be unseen or forgotten and the goal is to continue making projects, using donations to assist with food and medical emergencies.
