In this event, the Center for Global Justice looks at a country that is blazing hopeful new trails. Cuba: Organic Agriculture and Cooperatives looks at how Cuba became a world leader in organic agriculture and is now poised to also become the first country with cooperatives as a major sector of its society. Jennifer Ungemach has been leading organic agriculture trips to Cuba for several years. Cliff DuRand has recently returned from an investigation of the new urban cooperatives as part of its renewal of socialism.
