The Rosenberg Case Today

Robert Meeropol is the youngest son of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. In 1953, when he was six years old, the United States Government executed his parents for “conspiring to steal the secret of the atomic bomb.” In his presentation of the Rosenberg case, he discusses how the public's understanding of the facts about his parents’ case has evolved as groundbreaking, previously secret evidence has emerged in recent years, and how that new evidence led to a national campaign in 2016 asking President Obama to exonerate his mother before leaving office. He also addresses President Obama’s inaction, possible next steps, and why the Rosenberg Case resonates during the Trump presidency.

For over 40 years Robert Meeropol has been a progressive activist, author and public speaker.
