En el año de 2018 se constituyó la Asociación Civil “YO SOY SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE” con el objetivo de tener una representatividad legal para defender y afrontar todas aquellas disposiciones que atenten contra la preservación de San Miguel de Allende y ser una Asociación que dirija y propicie en conjunto con las entidades gubernamentales los cambios que marquen el rumbo a seguir para preservar e impulsar a San Miguel de Allende a través de los años mediante prácticas basadas en la democracia y justicia.

Su misión es representar, fomentar y defender la opinión y el sentir de los sanmiguelenses, promover la protección y conservación del patrimonio de SMA así como el fortalecimiento de la democracia en nuestra ciudad, bajo el marco de respeto de los derechos humanos de la sociedad en conjunto.
