Violeta Núñez Rodríguez es licenciada en Economía por la UNAM; Maestra y Doctora en Desarrollo Rural por la UAM-Xochimilco. Profesora-Investigadora del Departamento de Producción Económica de la UAM-X. Integrante del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores. Autora de varios libros, entre ellos: Minería mexicana en el capitalismo del siglo XXI El capital rumbo al mar. Una nueva era minera: Minería marina (UAM-Ítaca, 2020); La economía de la 4ª Transformación (JP, 2021).
